Sodium tetrachloroaurate dihydrate or sodium gold chloride is an orange - yellow crystalline powder. It decomposes into sodium chloride and metallic gold when heated.
This medicine was formerly recommended by Burnett for uterine fibromas, its preferential target area. It was considered as more effective than Aurum muriaticum, gold chloride, which provokes phenomena of congestion and induration in the female genital sphere during provings.
