Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has a long history as a health-promoting botanical worldwide. Modern research has identified a group of compounds known as curcuminoids as predominantly responsible for its beneficial effects. Turmeric has antioxidant properties, stimulates the production of bile, and supports cholesterol levels already in the normal range. Planetary Formulas Full Spectrum Turmeric Extract combines a concentrated turmeric extract, standardized to 95% curcuminoids, with whole turmeric rhizome. Combining these active constituents with the whole herb ensures that all the important compounds of the botanical are present.
