Valerian root has been the primary herb of choice for supporting restful sleep since the 9th century. Modern research has confirmed this traditional use, and has identified valerenic acid, a component of the essential oil, as primarily responsible for its relaxing effects. These compounds are highly soluble in alcohol extracts. Suggested Use: 60 drops (approx. 1.5 ml) as needed, up to three times before bedtime, in water or juice, or as recommended by your health care professional.
